For project 4, what I decided to do is to represent different views of a certain scene together in a single photography. Specifically, I will take multiple photos of a certain view at different times, and then for each of these photos, I will pick part of the photo and at last combine those parts together. The idea of my project 4 is to represent a hundred percent of a landscape at same time so that viewers can experience much more than what a single photo can represent.

Chapter 2/3 response

In chapter 2, the author describes background stories about art photography. The focus of this chapter is to discuss different types of art photography within two centuries. The author first introduces the use of storytelling in contemporary photography, describes relation between storytelling photography and 18 century photography. Later the author also discusses some similarities between drawings and storytelling photography. The reason why photographers enjoy using storytelling method on photographing is that photographers can present their idea by combine elements and people in certain way with certain type of art. Types of photography such as Staged photography, which has pre-organized structure, can perfectly represents the idea of photographer.

In chapter 3, the author introduces one of the most prominent and frequently used styles in art photography, the deadpan aesthetic. The author explains the reason why the deadpan aesthetic style became popular and how photographers evaluated this kind of art photographer. Furthermore, the author discusses how this kind of art photographer affected culture and society. One of the most interesting parts about the deadpan aesthetic style is that few artificial elements were included in this kind of art. In contrary, the deadpan aesthetic photography comes with the environment.
